CJST driving provides quality tuition in Thanet and Herne Bay.
I have been an independent driving instructor since 2014 focusing on training pupils to be safe drivers for life. This includes all aspects of driving that may not be in the test. For me personally it is NOT about passing the test as soon as possible and as such I like to encourage a safe and positive attitude towards driving.
I have been assessed by the DVSA as Grade A standard (highest). Only around 25% of Instructors achieve this grade.
I cater for both Learners starting out and Full License Holders requiring refresher training. I offer additional training once passed – Motorway & Eco driving. (I can provide Motorway lessons for Learner drivers from 4 June 2018 – recent Govt announcement).
I can help with theory test training and we will do some whilst driving but on the whole it is more cost effective for you to self study with some reading, internet links, DVD’s etc. It’s free to you that way.
Prior to this I worked as a highway design consultant, being involved in all aspects of the design, procurement and construction of major highway projects; for those who know East Kent and Thanet, my team delivered the new dual carriageways around Manston and Sandwich. I use this experience and highway knowledge during lessons to good effect as pupils often ask why are roads laid out as they are, why is the road colour different in places, why do some roads have lighting while others don’t? All of these factors influence the way we drive and I believe that an informed driver is a safer driver.
My fees are simple and straight forward.
Prices (subject to review)
1 hour – £30
2 hours – £50 (recommended) More learning and less recap.
Refer a friend – receive a free 1 hour lesson. (once your friend has started tuition).
Other than the above incentive, I do not offer cheap introductory deals. Those that do are losing money initially ( a loss leader to attract your business) and will recover their losses at some stage, mostly by giving you more lessons at full price. I will not prolong the lessons in order to make more money from you. I will recommend you apply for your test when you are ready for it.
There is no standard time or number of lessons it takes to be test ready. It varies considerably between pupils but the DVSA state it’s about 40-50 hours of professional tuition plus about 20 hours of private practice.
Please read my numerous reviews from very satisfied pupils and please contact me without any obligation if you want to discuss your requirements further.
